Cadillac ATS at Nürburgring

Cadillac’s engineers have taken the ATS sedan to the North Loop of the Nürburgring in Germany, a.k.a Nordschleife in an effort to fine-tune the ATS calibrations for the new 270bhp turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder and 3.6-litre V-6 engines, along with the 2nd generation Cadillac Magnetic Ride Control suspension.In order to compete with the rear-driving Bimmers and Mercs, the Caddy features a sporty all- wheel drive. The ATS was formally announced at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.

Mansory Conquistador

If Batman swapped his Batmobile for the Mansory Conquistador, he wouldn’t be unhappy, would he? After all, the Rolls-Royce Phantom clearly isn’t luxurious and stealthy enough for Arkham City. On the other hand, looking at this car in your rear view mirror is like looking at a black beast creep up to you, ready to strangle you. And with a 490 bhp V-12 engine under the hood, the creeping up won’t take long! Beware of the beast, and should you encounter it, remember to take a picture and send it to me, before you perish!

  

I’m Back!

Alright guys, I’m back from my unimposed sabbatical and I’m fresh as an orange. Frankly, I’ve been busy with my other blog ( I’m gonna do some selfish advertising here, so here’s the link to it: Bullet in a Maelstrom ) which has been going viral over the Internet. But I’m back and the automotive industry is booming as ever. The weekly car magazine in my area talks of great progress in new designs but lately, I’ve been rather interested in the classics. Now Dubai has its fair share of classics, which are just a delight to look at. I’ve been following news about old Camaros and Stingray Corvettes and they are thriving in the market. Moreover, some rather unusual cars have also turned up, such as a 1945 Talbot and a 1960 Lancia, which are once again in perfect condition. So watch this space for automotive news and happenings, I’ll be posting more articles shortly. Until then, ciao!

Old is Old

Old is Old.

Ever heard that before? No?

You must be kidding!

Look back at your old television set, languishing in an ever growing storage room, then turn your sights towards you spanking new 55” LED screen. Would nostalgia prevail over comfort?

Sure, in hand to hand combat, your old idiot box will massacre your thin new LED, but you didn’t buy the LED to fight, did you? On the brighter side, your old TV set can make some really good scrap. Good use for something that wouldn’t make a $1 sale at the cheapest of yard sales.

Coming over to old cars, “Old is Old” doesn’t hold true here, and only here. One could kill to get his hands onto a vintage ’69 Corvette Sting Ray. The joy of driving a ’67 ‘Stang is truly unparalleled. Although being just 15, I haven’t had that pleasure yet.
